Ascending the eastridge

SP-Member Sebastian Hamm ascending the eastridge of Piz Palü. About 2 years later Cyrill Rüeger (SP member Cyrill aka Digitalis), his wife Tanja (SP member Bergelfe) and a mountain-friend died climbing this passage. They fell of this flank roped together and into the rocky coloir underneath leading 400m down to Palü-glacier. It is expected a slide of fresh snow caused the tragedy on 13th of June 2009. Cyrill and his wife had much experience and he had passed this route already some years ago. R. I. P.
