Re: TREMENDOUS !!!Ah. Yes I understand. I moved to Calgary 3 years ago just to be able to experience these views each weekend. Not an easy decision. But... well we only have one life to lead. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers William

This simply deservesto become the photo of the day. My new photo is also a candidate, but seeing the quality of the quantity of your new pictures, I must humbly state that this mighty picture of the king Assiniboine will simply fit more to the SP title page tomorrow than would my photo. Compliments, Tomas :)

FrustrationDuring the three times I visited Banff I tried futilely to get a look at the "Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies." It lies well off the main roads and with little time to hike into the range to see it. I thank you for this spectacular picture of it.

Re: FrustrationIf it makes you feel better it has taken me 2 trips into the area before the mountain decided to show herself. 18 miles in and 18 miles out. (6-6.5 hours each way) But it is worth it especially when the weather cooperates. Thanks and cheers William

This really actsas a "magnet" for somebody who has never
seen the Northern Rockies and Banff in
person. Outstanding composition & photography! It beats looking at butterflies
(just my personal opinion). NICE SHOT !!!

Sweet Pic!I have got to get back up there. Assiniboine is one of the prettier mountains I've ever climbed. Your pictures make me want to go up with my SLR instead of the point-and-shoot I got my pictures with. You have a great eye for composition. Thanks for sharing.
