At The Summit Sassafras Mountain...
Me, giving my trademark State Highpoint salute to my favorite hockey team, at Sassafras Mountain in South Carolina. This was my first peak visited during my big Southern Appalachian Loop Trip, during which I summited six State Highpoints and multiple other peaks during Memorial Day weekend 2009.
Sassafras Mountain was the 33rd State Highpoint I had summited.
