Auguille du Midi on the way to Refuge Cosmique

I don't know, but there is something about that ridge … it's not the prettiest, not the most challenging and often is too busy and feels too long for the fatigued and hungry climber coming back from some more exciting exploit. But still … every time I sit down with a beer at Café L'Aterlier in downtown Chamonix and I look up at Aiguille du Midi the ridge always draws in my gaze and awakens that desire to go up and out through the tunnel on a frosty early morning.
