Great afternoon hike!
Hiked this from the Terrace Hills Drive trailhead, what a great afternoon. Followed the trail that runs a little south of the ridge out to the mountain (which I think was the BST?), took the undulating ridge trail back (which is way more scenic, easier to dodge mountain bikers, but less shaded.) Kept thinking what a great place to snowshoe next winter. Hiked over to Little Black Mountain while I was up there. About 1 hour to get to the summit of Avenues Twin Peaks from the trailhead.
I parked at the trailhead at 3pm on a Friday and was the only car there; when I got back around 8pm, the road was jammed with people parking for a couple of blocks down the hill. Very popular trail for mountain biking and sunset-viewing.
My four grandchildren, Addison, Codie, Marlow and Bobbie made it to the top of both these peaks on a VERY, VERY windy day. Way to go kids!!! Codie is four, Bobbie six, and Addison and Marlow are eight.

Beautiful Evening Views
Started from the Jewish Community Center trailhead at 6:15. Cloudy, windy evening but great temps. Went up Bonneville Shoreline to the summits. The wind was so strong it nearly tipped me over! Down the ridge back to the BST then down Limekiln Gulch up onto the U then back to the car. Great round trip in about two hours!

Avenues stroll
Nice little hike from Terrace Hills Dr. trailhead. Took a very leisurely pace and took a little less than 2 hours total car to car. Looks like it would be a great place to snowshoe in the dead of winter.
Hiked it quickly and also did a little trail running. It's a nice little hike.

Via Perrys Hollow
Great early spring hike. I'm not sure I'd go up Perrys Hollow (aka, the Bobsled Run) again for fear of getting run over by a mountain bike, but the old cars were fascinating. I descended via Spring Gulch.
01/06/12 It was a summit first for two of my friends and my new puppy. Could see the Ghost of Lake Bonneville from the top (aka The Inversion) =)
01/07/12 in combination with Little Black. Made for a great run

#1 12-22-2011. Pleasant way to begin the calendar winter, a dusting of fresh snow to liven things up. With ZeeJay. Went on to Little Black Mountain and beyond. #2 04-27-2020. W/ Ruby Fisher, energetic granddaughter. 1+11 up. #3 10-18-23 W/Lana. After Little Black Mountain. Splendid fall colors.

Nice side trip
Started at Perrys Hollow and climbed Twin Peaks first, then Little Black Mt, and then all the way to the high point of Black Mountain. It wasn't bad until after Little Black Mt at which point we had to choose between knee deep snow or lots of brush. 13 miles RT and over 5000' of elevation gain.

Confused but Up!
Went up on nice winter day. Took 3 wrong turns and ended up going direct up the west face. Managed to turn a routine hike into a sporty climb. Pretty views!

Avenue Twin Peaks3/29/2013 Snagged them both after coming off Little Black Mountain.
