April weather in June, so I went to Canyonlands. The side trip to see the granaries is definitely worth it!

Worth the hour.
I didn't want to do this as it seemed boring compared to other options but it really is a nice little hike.

Sweet little hike
This is a sweet little hike that gives you the illusion of doing something difficult even if it's not. Climbing the sandstone looks hard but the grip is great and there was almost no chance of falling. I liked it

Spring Break
Looking for the granaries, and ended up on top of the butte. Nice views off the back into Trail Canyon

No one on this hike in December
Went to the granaries and to the top of the butte around sunset. This is a great hike at sunset, loved the climbing and expansive view from up top. After hiking the crowded Mesa Arch hike this was a nice reprieve. Lovely!

Aztec Butte TH
This was our first time in Canyonlands and it was nice to find a highpoint to get the lay of the land. While it is a relatively easy scramble to the top, some people might find the north side route a bit unnerving due to lack of handholds and the sandy nature of the rock. I wanted very much to get my partner up it, but she would have none of it.

AztecI did this hike in November 1992 during Thanksgiving weekend. Unusually cold for the area and with snow around.

Great hike!Did this hike along with every other hike in the Island in the Sky area. Great fun and wonderful scenery. Really loved this trip.

StandardSecond time I've hiked to the top of this thing. I'd recommend it in the Winter as crowds are non-existant and the heat is non-existant.
