Nice scenic drive up
Road was pretty good and a Subaru type should make it to the top. Lots of nice pullouts along the creek but signs advised against staying overnight due to old uranium mining. Seemed odd since there is a youth camp.
Started from Cascade Campground. All in all, we had a group of 22 people and all made the summit. I tried to summit Carr Peak on the way back, but was stopped by thorny trees.

road hike
One hour and forty minutes to the tower from where I parked on the road, which was at the last gate. Very near the falls area the road has had a landslide, so high clearance is an absolute must to get by this rebuilt section of road. The rest of the road was in pretty good shape otherwise. Check out the stone furniture near the south overlook.

Great views!
The gate was open and I drove another 0.5 miles to a larger turnoff where trail 151 starts and parked there. Further up several large fallen trees blocked the road. Nice weather and great views from the top. Roundtrip hike was 5 miles.

Drive up
Did Pinal peak earlier and then drove out to this one, camping at the Fall Campground several miles up the road from the turnoff. The gate was open and we drove all the way to the top. A fair amount of road traffic lower down near a Youth camp sponsored by the Elks.

Aztec
This was actually a fairly pretty area as you drive way up from Roosevelt Lake into the forests and then on to Aztec. Reasonably cool as well on the windy summit in the evening.

Aztec Peak
Didn't see a soul all day, would love to head back up in the summer - looks to be a great escape from the heat. Workman Falls are worth spending a few minutes.

Small Hike
The road by workman falls and then to the top
was OK for the Honda, so I only had to hike
a few feet to the lookout tower.
Tower chasers can also tackle McFadden Peak, which
is about 7 miles NW of Aztec.
