B24 "Shaknstuff"

I bought this print on Ebay a few years ago. I've never been to Alaska so hope I have the features right. If I am wrong, please let me know so I can fix it. This appears to be the Ruth Glacier in the Great Gorge showing Mount Dickey and Denali beyond. As noted on the image, this was taken in April 1944. As best I can tell, the airplane in the image is a B24/F7 variant designed for photo Reconnaissance. Since the paint on the tail has peeled, the numbers can’t be made out.

Ruth Glacier

Yes, that's the Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier. The mouth of it is the Don Sheldon (famous bush pilot) Amphitheater. Mt. Dickey on left. Across from it, but not in picture is the Moose's Tooth.

Shaknstuff

My father was the pilot in command of the Shaknstuff. I have a whole album of these type photos. Your information about the plane is correct.
