Fact - there's another "Bald Mountain" located SE of Deseret Peak
in the Stansbury Mountains, but it was "burned over" by a devastating wildfire in June 2008.
Guess it's TRULY a bald mountain now. Sorry to say ..
The Bald Mountain, 9,203 feet, near Deseret Peak deserves a page. There is a trail that goes near its summit. If you do it as a loop you can hike to Little Bald Mountain and Box Elder Pass. Yep, another place named Box Elder! There are other Bald Mountains. They are in the Deep Creek Range, Wasatch Plateau, and near Ephraim.

could be seen clearly by the good folks of Grantsville.
I plan to visit northern UT (again) in 2013. Great page.

Great autumn colorsI love the colors. When I hiked it at the end of July, the colors were all green and browns. This was a nice hike close to SLC.
