5th time, with Rachael. From French Creek up a east ridge spur that hit the north ridge at 13,100'. North ridge from there to summit, then skied down the northeast gullies directly off the summit. Fun route, about 2000' of good skiing before it flattens out in the valley.
The standard summer route is the NW ridge. Either start hiking at the lower Baldy Road parking lot (10,600') or drive the rough 4.1-mile 4WD road (high-clearance vehicles only) to the relay antennas at 12,574' (about half of topos show a road to 13,000'; that is not true). Hike the obvious class 2 ridgeline trail past a series of false summits to the true summit at 13,684'. Great views of Breckenridge, Quandary Peak, and beyond to Mount Holy Cross. Important: booties are a must for dogs!

pseudo Silverheels
for many years, I thought this peak was Silverheels when looking at it from the Frisco area. I learned I was wrong when I climbed Silverheels in 2013. This is a short hike from Boreas Pass which was good as I did not start very early. several false summits to drain morale but I good day to spend a fourth of July

False Summits!!!!
Perfect day out. Hiked with my friend Sam. We were the only people on the Mountain all day. Saw some Mountain Goats, and got a good view from the summit. There is around three false summits.

7.6 miles & 3,500 feet
Enjoy the false summits!
3rd time up (2/8/15), early morning flurries broke to a sunny warm day. Broken trail pretty much the whole way to the ridge, and the ridge is mostly blown clear of snow with just a few small patches. Stick to the ridge, the east side has some cornices and loaded slopes.
4th time up (12/26/16), with Rachael. Windy and cold ridge but weather improved on the descent.

Good fall day
Fun after the tower. Rest is a road walk. 50 false summits.
Very dry, almost depressingly so. One could drive all the way to the Iowa Mill (and beyond) still. Some very shallow snow from Mill to treeline (under 6") and then its mostly dry all the way to the summit from that point, no gaitors today.
