Just do this yet and it's great!
1. Add some more information on what makes this mountain so special, such as its unique characteristics and geography/geology.
Other than that good start, and let me know when you add stuff so I can up my vote. Have a good one!
Hey i have uploaded 2 photos to my Mount Baldy page, and hope to get more by the end of the week. Thank you for your help improving my page!
I agree with previous comments.
Glad to see you adding pictures, and it's good you're planning on even more. Don't think it all has to be done now; as time goes along you can take more pictures--of the mountain in different seasons (maybe even flowers in the spring)--and the page over time can gradually grow. Also, you'll discover that sometimes others will come along and have pictures of their own to put on the page, so you've started something we can all be part of! And if you think of special things about Mount Baldy you can always add them as they come to mind. Also, it's a good thing to look at other pages to see what about them you like, what you might like to try on your own submissions. I know I already said this, but it's worth repeating: don't think of the page as necessarily finished during the first few days or weeks!
You've begun discovering that the Rocky Mountains are very, very special--those of us living here are indeed fortunate! Thanks for sharing that with us. Keep getting out; the mountains will become part of you!
Perhaps put up some pics, and a little more information? I am not sure if I'd be attracted to the peak based on your limited description. Beef it up and I'll change da' vote. ALso, your topozone map coordinates aren't correct- it shows up on a hillside.
I have updated the coordinates in on the redone page.
I have taken over this page and have improved it with a rewrite and pictures in the layout.
Very nice job. Hopefully some of the low votes will get updated.
Thanks! The score is going up slowly - thanks for your vote!
Perhaps you could pm the members who voted prior to your re-working of this page, and ask them to take another look! I think it looks great!
Thanks so much! I sent all of the people a PM last night, so hopefully they can check it out soon...
I remember flying into Bozeman in May 2007. I rented a car to drive down to Chico Hot Springs. I saw Baldy on the way, and was blown away by how green it is. I remember the green below the gray-top of Mount Baldy. Thanks for updating this page.
I was there in April and September, so I probably missed the greenest months; it's definitely a beautiful place! Thanks for checking it out and changing your vote...
Completed this hike the last week of June, 2012. We started at the "M" trailhead and use the ridgeline trail as the route. It opens up some spectacular views of the entire region. The final leg up the false summit is a thigh buster / scree walk with no switchbacks. As the last review (tie dye) noted, the false summit holds the register. Not really sure how this came about, but it is clearly NOT the actual peak. I actually ran into a guy that wanted to argue about it while we were on a higher point than the false summit?!?!?!? Nevertheless, it is a great hike, about 4-5 hours round trip depending on scenic view stops. Very little exposure except on the actual summit, but that is sloping scree. Watch the wind. On the next hike we will extend to Saddle Peak for a solid 10-12 hour day. - Geo
