Bang! Bang! (foto jedna)

Bang! Bang! (foto jedna)

"Bang Bang .. Tvář na zemi Bang Bang A zdá se mi BANG! BANG! ..." Just as Czech Superstar Lucie Bila treks across the sandy desert barefoot in her video, the land surrounding Sedona, AZ, was also a desert at one time .. The Schnebly Hill Formation is Sedona’s very own deposit and was formed in sand dunes that once fringed the shoreline of a shallow sea. This sea today is known as the Pedregosa Sea (Pedregosa is Spanish for “stony” but the name comes from a limestone layer that was first described in the Pedregosa Mountains in southeast Arizona – the two deposits are time equivalent and thus related). Sand was blown in from the north across the Grand Canyon area and came to rest near the shoreline. Here, we see a telephoto view of "The Parthenon" taken from the Sugarloaf trail. March 19, 2012

Frankly ..

Wish I was trekking across the desert with
(Czech Phenomenon)Lucie Bila, but no dice!

Would you like another sip of wine, Lucie ?

Beautiful Photo,

the sedimentary layers of the rocks are very striking here.

Re: Nice Nice

Thanks ... this is one I took earlier this
year, when all the snow was sticking to the
rocks like powdered sugar, and ...

Larry likes Lucie Bila.... :)
I have a few CDs of her songs at home... Thank you. Don't you think that czech ladies are lovely?

Re: wow...

Thanks, Liba ... that's a loaded question!

I love Czech girls .... I have ALWAYS loved
Czech girls .... they really knock me out!

Especially the "older" ones ... they seem to
age like a fine wine ..

Re: wow...

Please wait .... I'm not done complementing
Czech girls, yet!

I really find them to be quite impressive,
especially their list of accomplishments and attractive attributes ...

If I were to meet one, I'd probably have to
wait patiently in a "long line" of admirers,

who somehow managed to SNEAK into line before I did !

What's NOT to love in a Czech girl ?? ?

Re: Fantastic!

Yeah, it looks like something from "The Sound of Music" combined with "The Lord of the Rings!" : - )

And then you have the Czech singer giving
it some spice ..

Thank you, Eric!

Great scene, Larry.

Congrats on POTW.

Re: Great scene, Larry.

Thanks, Tim ! :)

I don't think it's going to get as many votes as "The Circumhorizontal Arc on Laila Peak," but I think it's suitable for Arizona.

And, I added the video of the Czech girl trekking across the desert barefoot, so that PROBABLY accounts for (at least) 3/4 of the
votes ! !!

Larry -

Hell of a shot. I'll also give credit where credit is due - this picture also helped give me the clue to finding my way up the Parthenon. Thank you, sir!

Re: Larry -

Congrats, man! Glad to hear somebody out there
is actually climbing these things, instead of
just taking pictures of them.
