My dogs and I took the long way to the top. We hiked the entire ridgeline coming from the south so we just didn't have enough day light to get Ireteba Peak as well. I guess we need to come back one day.

Sometime in 2006, I did a quick morning loop of Bard and Ireteba, then met some friends to do Castle Peak, a much better peak on the other side of the highway. Great day out.

Bard-Ireteba Loop
Hiked up Bard Peak and then over to Ireteba Peak. Great views of the Colorado River, Lake Mojave, and all the mountains in the great 360 degree view.

with IretebaDid this one and Ireteba Peak on a Saturday morning with perfect temperatures and great views. I was back home by 10:15 am.

Ireteba to Bard loopEasy enough hike with some nice desert stones. The ridge is a lot of fun.

Half TraverseFirst stop in a ridge traverse over to the "MacLeod/Lilley highpoint" a mile north of Ireteba.
Not sure Bard really warrants its own page- its really just one of a half dozen lower highpoints along the ridge and quite close to Ireteba.

Bard-Ireteba LoopDrove as far as I could and began hiking up Bard. Hit Bard, then Ireteba. Nice quick hike after a previous day on Spirit.
