neat view

I just climbed Bare Peak (range Highpoint) on the 21st of May so this is a reminder of how barren that area is. We went up via Tarantula canyon (isn't that a great name?).

I'm jealous! I was going to climb that one, plus the traverse to Bare Mountain (to its north) from the west via what is supposed to be an exposed Class 4 route, but the approach road got too rough for my low-clearance car and I turned back. That was how I ended up doing Beatty Mountain that day instead.
