For me was impossible to get a permission to Chirripó. I just take a permission of 6 hours to a closer area "Llano Bonito", So I decided to go running fastest that I can. I am not maratonist, or a big atletic. So I need to get hurry the climb. Finally done it from San Gerardo Town to Chirripò summit in 6 hours.. then 4 to return. Extremely tire, and painful the next days, but really happy with that. Chirripo 10 hours roundtrip!!

Summit Cake
So Derik and I woke at 3 and started hiking at 3:30. After Chirripó the day before we were tired and stopped a few times to talk each other out of quiting and we made the summit around 5. The view is quite nice and it is even less crowded (we didn't see a single person on the entire trail) as it is second highest. Slightly tougher than Chirripó but maybe I was tired. Definitely worth the three hours round trip from Base Crestones.
