Bearhead Mountain, while often overlooked, offers great views into the convergence of the Firebrand Pass and Two Medicine Areas. It is often achieved as part of the DeSanto Pass traverse from Firebrand Pass to Two Medicine.

Return Route

Lena Lake

After returning to the saddle between Red Crow and Bearhead, it is possible to drop down to Lena Lake. A rewarding trip around the lake will reveal a hard-to-find game trail that will lead back to the Firebrand Pass trail. The downloadable .gpx file featured in this page's description shows our Glacier Mountaineering Society route from Lena Lake back to the Firebrand Trail.
