Climbed with Colin on a long trip from Lubec Lake to Two Medicine. Bearhead was the center mountain on the traverse, which included Red Crow to Ellsworth.

Two Medicine to Lubec Lakes
With Adrienne Alta Hearne, Ben Darce, Tyler Haasch and Sean Doyle (manyglaciermountaineer). Started at the Scenic Point TH and took standard route up to saddle between Apistoki Peak and Mount Henry. From there, we traversed the ridgetop all the way to Mount Ellsworth. Encountered extreme wind at the broad Ellsworth-Henry saddle! 2010-2011 was particularly snowy, so our ice axes proved handy while crossing a steep snow field just beneath Ellsworth's summit. We then made our way south on loose rock and a snow fields to Bearhead Mountain. The little rock crater that sits in the middle of the flat summit area offered a nice place to rest out of the wind! Our group chose to linger along the Continental Divide as we headed south on the summit ridge. Eventually we had to negotiate some (unnecessary) class III cliffs and steep snow to gain easier terrain below. I'd recommend heading directly SW off the summit to find much safer slopes.
Below the summit ridge, we followed loose game trails to DeSanto Pass and up Red Crow Mountain. Headed east off the summit and intersected the maintained trail north Firebrand Pass Trail. Hiked that out to Lubec Lake TH for a car-to-car time of 12 hours. One of the best days I've ever had in Glacier National Park.
