Vermilion combo  Sucess!

Hit Beattie before Vermilion. Nice day- just enough snow to make the climb & descent nicer without requiring traction aids.

Traverse from Rolling  Sucess!

The end of a long, crappy traverse from Rolling Mountain. I continued north, then descended east across the rock glacier and dropped through easy woods to return to the trailhead. Trip report.

with fresh snow  Sucess!

From Hope Lake, up the Hope Pass, up the south ridge of Unnamed 13300, the ridge to Beattie took much longer than I expected with fresh snow, felt spooky at places, up Beattie, down to the saddle with Fuller and back to Hope Lake trail. Nice day, did not see anyone the whole day!

South Mineral  Sucess!

Solo with "V8" from South Mineral Campground, snow is melting fast and was not much of an issue. Some parts of the ridge it forced me into sketchier terrain than if dry on the "V8" descent, however.

From Hope Lake Trail  Sucess!

Climbed via Hope Lake Trailhead. Left trail about 2 miles up and crossed basin and up to saddle between Fuller Peak and Beattie Peak. After climbing Vermilion Peak, I climbed Beattie Peak, but then thunderstorms began to build, so we quickly headed back down to treeline.

From Ice Lake Basin

Took the horrible scree-laden ridge from Fuller over to Beattie then turned towards Vermilion before heading home.

Scree paradise  Sucess!

9/3/07 - From the Lake Hope TH. Made nice loop of "V9", "V8", Beattie, Fuller & Vermilion. The scree looks intimidating but I didn't find it to be too bad. There are faint trails that help if they can be located.

3/12/17 - Winter ascent from Trout Lake. Dessert after Vermilion. All that nasty scree was covered by nicely consolidated snow.

traverse from Fuller  Sucess!

I had a very nasty descent on loose talus from Fuller. The rock on Beattie is much more stable. Ran out of time halfway across the ridge to V8 as weather loomed.

Route Climbed: Traverse from Fuller Date Climbed: July 29th, 2004  Sucess!

A nasty scree talus slope the entire way. I do not wish this route upon anyone, and would not repeat it. Though it was a nice add on to the other 3 peaks that day.

Route Climbed: Unnamed Lake Date Climbed: July 6, 2002

Didn't have good info. Had to explore on my own. stopped at the unnamed lake not wanting to tackle the scree slope. Good views from the lake.
