Beckwith Violet

Beckwith Violet

These sweet & delicate little wildflowers are early bloomers that bloom in dry rocky slopes around the Carson Pass area. I 1st saw them in the same area where these were back in 2002...being we had such a low snow pack this last winter, we were not sure we would see any this summer! Beckwith Violet are their name!...Photo taken by Kerstin with my camera on our hike up Stevens Peak 6/19/07

I get the flowers,

but what about the butterfly? I don't do forums. I was looking for the URL for a SMILEY FACE, and stumbled upon people talking about a butterfly. Is she okay - health-wise? It sounds serious - I was just trying to seek an understanding for myself. I LOVE your flowers and marmots. Thanks for sharing !!! Take care!
