Below the long ridge of Stol and Muzci/Musi, there's the source of Nadiza river. Hiking through its canyon is a nice adventure. August 25th, 2001.

Re: Anoter Nadiza?

You're right, Sven. The one in Tamar is only a source, which then disappears in sand and later near Ratece shows up again as Sava. This one is a true river. It's source is below Stol (Kobariski Stol), then it flows south through Breginj (the westernmost part - valley of Slovenia), approaches towards east to Kobarid, and when one would think it will flow into Soca river, Nadza suddenly changes direction towards south again and flows west of Matajur - continues in Italy through Cedad (Cividale) and I think only later flows into Soca.

This Nadiza is fine, because water is warm, clear, there are nice ponds and the canyon is still quite easily passable.
