I know thispeak to be very prominant and a true
'beakon' for early pioneers, but why
does it get so much snow during the
winter? Is it because of all the storms
coming off the Great Salt Lake? The
"Lake" effect? I have seen it many
times from I-15! Thanks for posting!

Re: I know thisI think lake effect, as well as the fact that somehow big incoming storms from the northwest seem to line up perfectly with the Wasatch Range (not sure why) contribute to there being so much snowfall at relatively low elevations.
