Benchmark and register of So. Tent Peak

Found at the summit of So.Tent Mtn, the benchmark and summit register, two of my favorite things to find when I get to the top of a peak.

Dean...

Dean, I think it is right photo to put in my album 'small mountainous varia'. Welcome!

Re: Dean...

Thank you. I'm glad you liked this shot for your album. Two things I love on peaks are registers and in the USA, Benchmarks.

Great Shot!

This has got to be the best photo of a bench mark I've seen.

Barbara Lilley

Nice register! Barbara Lilley really gets around. Since the '40s she's had FAs from Tahquitz to the Sierras. She and Gordon are no spring chickens, but they still get into the mountains constantly.

Re: Barbara Lilley

Amazing folks, those two. I see their registers on lots of peaks, most recently on Provo Peak.
I also see a lot of John Vitz registers. They are living the dream.

Register Gone

When I was up over the weekend, the register was nowhere to be found, so if anyone goes up, take one with you!

Re: Register Gone

That is a shame. More and more, the registers are disappearing. I now carry an extra with me for any peak I visit since often times the register is either gone or in need of a new container. Congrat's on visiting another county highpoint.
