Benchmark for Tower Mtn

The GPS is showing lat/long coordinates. Tower Mountain is the county highpoint of Umatilla County in Oregon. The reason it is named Tower is most likely due to the 100 foot tall lookout that sits atop the mountain. A forest service road accesses this spot and the lookout is manned during the fire season each year. This Benchmark is built into the base of the tower and is found near the steps.
