Battlecreek to Dry  Sucess!

Fun loop hike, I live just below Battlecreek Canyon so I'm up there all the time.

Dry Canyon trail  Sucess!

With Dave & Lana climbed a picturesque cornice line from the saddle on the north side after checking out the Everest Ridge up to 9,000'. Snow conditions were ideal. #3 3-25-2015 A small part of my birthday celebration. The route was nothing if not steep! Tolle Gesellschaft! #4 1-29-16. Took the long way (saddle at the Everest ridge base). Breaking trail and fighting overhanging brush made the going tedious and slow. Beautiful snow up the east ridge, terrible crusty snow down the entire south ridge. But fabelhafte Gesellschaft. #5 03-25-19. W/ Lana. SE ridge up and down. Awful snow conditions but warm.

Dry Canyon  Sucess!

I climbed Big Baldy from Dry Canyon. The route is much steeper than it looks. There was a lot snow on the summit and the north side of the mountain overlooking Battle Creek but not much on the south side. Good view of the west face of Timp and the rest of the Southern Wasatch. The mountain provides a good workout to stay in shape.

fun hike  Sucess!

hiked in winter - went up from hells gate (?) and planned on going up the gully to the south of it, but it was full of avalanche debris, so I went up the southwest ridge to the top. THIS is me at the top, and THIS is the view of Timp from the top. Fun hike if you are about 90 minutes from sunset and are hankerin to get out (and you live nearby!).
