Big Run Cliffs

Big Run Cliffs

Typical cliff composition in the Big Run area—there are plenty of holds to help pull oneself through the overhanging parts, but the rock is rotten, making lead climbing a dangerous proposition. It’s better to free solo what you can and just pass on what you can't do or to toprope, but setting up atop the cliffs will require strenuous bushwhacking through some very dense undergrowth.
