We hiked the trail to the broad, windswept, grassy saddle just before Scenic Point. From there, we hiked to the south to the saddle near Medicine Peak. My partner opted to take a nap out of the wind, but I made an ascending traverse on good footing to the summit of Bison. Smoke from the Sprague Fire led to worsening views as the day went along, but I opted to make the quick detour to The Head before heading back and rejoining the other member of my party. We took an off-trail route down easy scree slopes to the large switchback on the Scenic Point trail high above Appistoki Basin. Capped off the day with a dip in Pray Lake. Aside from the smoke, it was an otherwise spectacular day in Two Medicine!

Windy Day on Bison
Went up with GMS, East Glacier route. Very windy on top but good to be up there. 2nd time up Bison and have to say the route from Two Med when it's possible to go that route, is more scenic and prefered.

Bison Mountain
The mountain itself was easy its just being slowed down and blocked by tourists on the Scenic Point Trail that won't move off the path. Bison had good views of the peaks in the Marias Pass and in the Two Medicine Valley. Winds had to be over 50 mph on the summit. Climbed The Head afterwards nice and easy day other than the wind. Climbed in a tornado with Rebelgrizz and JFK.
