Very unusual: a cohp with a height of 0 ft.
That would make it the lowest county highpoint in California but alas, I fixed the lack of information and ruined that unique aspect of this mountain. Thanks Paul for the vote and the heads up.
BTW, the wrong Black Butte (up near Shasta) is listed as a county highpoint.
Here in the East, we have tons of peaks with the same name.
I was hoping someone would do this Black Butte. And you did a great job with it.
Thank you Jason. Actually it was your Carpenter Hill that got me remembering some of the other county highpoints in California that I'd done and this one popped in. After my wife and I did Carpenter Hill, we went on to do Yuba county Hp, Sugar Pine Mtn, then we did Black Butte and Anthony Peak before heading for home. I have lots more in Cal that I want to do. Are you familiar with www.cohp.org ? If not, it is a neat site and the completion maps are part of the fun.
BTW, Jason, here's a nasty cohp that is near Sacramento,
Little Blue Mountain. Bob Burd just did it this past week along with a Sacramento guy who goes by the name of Dingus Milktoast. His pics are HERE
Good job, Dean!
Thank you Vlado, your comment and vote are always appreciated.
I didn't look at the name of the submitter but somehow I knew it must be you. I guess you have a unique recognizable style for your pages...
Thank you Gangolf. I appreciate your vote and your commentary. Actually the main reason I put this little peak up was because it was the first peak with a register that my wife had hiked up. It was a fun peak for her.
Another fine page Dean. I apperciate peaks you can hike with the whole family...not that mine ever would :-).
Thanks Sean. This is definitely a peak for families. Even little kids would enjoy it. I put it up because I had to do something constructive after watching the Super bowl game.
Great page Dean! Take care!
Thank you Britt for your nice comment and for the vote.
This one is definatley on my list
I'm glad you are interested in this one. I appreciate the vote.
Nice forest area...beautiful hiking there... Thanks for sharing.
Thank you John, California is a land of of diversity. So much of everything (including people and traffic)
Also beautiful mountains, I see...
