Black Kaweah North Face

Black Kaweah rises 1998 feet above Lake 11682', in 1840 ft. horizontally. BK is the square topped black peak left of center. The closer western shoulder of BK, peak 13320'+ is at the panorama's center. We heard a number of rockfalls from this ridge while we were there. We also heard thunder too close for comfort. We will exit right, down into Nine Lakes Basin. Pyra-Queen Col 12,840' providing access to Kaweah Basin is on the left, at the top of the chute above the W shaped snow patch, between Pyramidal Pinnacle 13,600'+, and Kaweah Queen 13,382' at far left. 8/12/2012 1:24 PM
