The approach from the south is just fine. Take Alderpoint Road to Alderpoint, then left over the bridge onto Zenia Bluff Road and turn north on FSR 2S08 (paved) then turn right on FSR 1S07 where is turns into good well graded dirt road.
We exited to the north continuing on FSR 1507 to Van Duzen Road and Hwy 36
Google Maps gave fine directions..
Bonus was we saw a mountain lion cross the road in front of us on the forest service road !!
