One of the highlights of our multi-day AT section hike was Black Rock Cliffs - we enjoyed endless views on a beautiful summer day. Cool breezes. Vultures soaring past you at eye level. Lovely place.
Great hike with nice views of the valley below.
Nice spot on South Mountain.
Walked right past on a section hike of the AT. We had just come from Annapolis Rocks and there were barely any views there. By the time we got to Black Rocks, the views were non-existent, as clouds rolled heavily over the mountain. We glanced at the rock ledge and kept on going, since we were cold and had another 5 miles to get to our car.
Many times since 1965! Mostly in the fall when the views are wonderful!
A fun weekend of bouldering problems.
Past the Washington Monument and onto Ensign Cowall Shelter.
First visit, enjoyed the hike and views. Started on MD 77 and hiked south to Rt 40.
