Pleasant Surprise
Camped here as part of a highpointing trip. I picked the place because of its convenient location between Spruce Knob and Backbone Mountain and had no idea what a beautiful place it would be. Hiked along the trails on the top and ventured down into the canyon a bit, but there was no set trail down that I could find.
Stayed here for a week long vacation with my family. Did some hiking around it and it was a really neat area. Reminded me of the PA Grand Canyon which is very near where I grew up.

Been to the FallsTwice-once in 1992 and once in 1995. Easy to forget there's so much more to the park than its namesake.

Long Time AgoClimbed often throughout this area in the early 70's. Beautiful area for backpacking.

Blackwater Canyon.I used the unofficial manway that starts at Pendleton Overlook on the east rim of the canyon.
