Walk right up  Sucess!

Easy

nice early fall stroll  Sucess!

Long drive up from Bicknell. Road is pretty good most of the way, and just a few rock gardens on the rest.

Virtually all of the road signs are missing. Bare aluminum poles remain to mark their places. Including the sign for the high point.

Easy stroll up from the road to the summit. Chilly early autumn day.

Bluebell  Sucess!

Not much to say about Bluebell Knoll, but the views from Government Point, Fish Creek Point, and Donkey Point were spectacular. We got to the latter two from on top of the plateau, but reached Government Point by scrambling up the west side. If you have to pick one of the 3, go to Government Point.

Bluebell Knoll  Sucess!

Beautiful area. I really enjoyed the drive up to where one parks for this county highpoint. I did Mount Ellen earlier in the day and decided to drive up to this one on the way back to SLC.

To say this one took ten minutes might be a bit of an overestimate.  Sucess!

But! It was plenty worth the drive, even if I seemed underwhelmed. Pinky promise. I swoon so hard for senesced foliage. That's a thing.

Twofer  Sucess!

Did this one after Mt Ellen. The leaves were changing and there were two rainbows. Anyway, well worth the drive.

Escape from Bluebell Knoll  Sucess!

The drive from Loa was simple enough and the short hike was nice. Saw a large irridescent blue spider near the summit. Endemic to only this knoll? We decided why not drive down to Escalante and see Hells backbone. The road is NOT Subaru approved in that direction. Heinously rocky. I ended up having to build 2 rock ramps to escape and tore a skid plate out of my car before making it to a lake off the plateau near the swale. I would like to go up here in the winter and skin the perimeter of the plateau.

Did this one in sandles after doing Fish Lake Hightop earlier in the day. Also I believe it's my car's highest point so far.

7th of 8 in a day Co. HP.  Sucess!

Climbed this in a rainstorm. Luckily it's only a couple of minutes from the car. Then drove for two hours trying to find a road down to Torrey that showed up on two of my maps. Finally, drove back down to Bicknell.

Brutal four minute climb  Sucess!

Now that I've climbed the dreaded Bluebell Knoll I can finally rest, thoughts of this summit had been haunting me or years, Did I have it in me? What if it took me over five minutes?

We're on a   Sucess!

#1 8-27-09. Two minutes to walk up to the top from the sign. The sign is beginning to show signs of weathering. I was surprised to see all of the trees up there at that elevation. #2. 11-01-14. "Talk of your cold, through the parka's fold, it stabbed like a driven nail." (Robert Service)

Bluebell and Boulder Top  Sucess!

Made it to Bluebell Knoll early in the evening. The summit had a cairn and was easy to spot. The temperature was actually pretty cool up on the plateau. Ran into the same family I had met on Mount Ellen earlier in the day.

A long drive for an easy COHP  Sucess!

A long drive from Loa, UT on some good dirt roads. A very uneventful and easy COHP, but the views were still amazing for such little physical effort

Chilly  Sucess!

Stopped to get the knoll on our way out to the Henry Mountains. I did this peak in a levi skirt, sandals and a blanket wrapped around me. It was later in the day and very chilly out.
