Don't Miss The Turn!!!
Summited on October 29th, 2019. Few others on the trail. The final turn as you descend up to the summit can be easy to miss. Be sure to turn right at the bottom of the final peak.

Sunny day
I drove from the small village of Plužine up to the Dobri Do trailhead. Dangerous mountain road, with dark, narrow tunnels and blind corners.
Afterwards I took the same road down, and then went north to Bosnia & Herzegovina. Crossing the border took a couple of hours!

From Sedlo
We climbed from Sedlo after an successful attempt the previous day from Zablak which failed because there was so much snow that we couldn't find the path at some point. I would say we went too early and wouldn't recommend you to go there before the end of June. From 12 people only 3 of us made it to the top.

Longer than expected
Hiked from Sedlo to summit, was not expecting as much elevation gain, but the elevation loss between the two passes that one must ascend and descent from made 12 km distance and 1000 m gain.

Desde Crno Jezero
Very nice route and beautiful weather. From Crno Jezero - Plan Slonitze - summit and back by Ledena Pecina. The whole massif reminds me of the Spanish mountains of Picos de Europa, where I live.

From Zabljak
Morning began rather grey in the sky but then the day became absolutely brilliant, we started at dawn and hiked through Lokvice valley and then via interesting Ledena Pecina ice cave to climb the summit just before 4 pm in great scenery of fantastic summit panorama reaching not only fairy tale Durmitor peaks but mounain ranges of all neighbouring Balkan countries on the horizon. Back to Zabljak by the same way in the darkness after 11 pm. Great trip.

From Sedlo
Hitchhiked to Sedlo and camped there. Started just after sunrise. Saw some patches of snow in the valleys. Sunny weather all the way. Scrambling just before the summit was very scary for my girlfriend.

from Lokvice bivouac
Started from and arrived back to Lokvice, where we had camped. The round trip took 8 hours (we walked in a slow pace). The fog just cleared up by the time we reached the summit, so we could enjoy the great views from there. Lots of people on the peak that day.
