Great day out
Have done this route a few times over the years, but last time was with my daughter, aged 10 at the time, in 2008.
A great day out - apart from a midge attack on summit Glyder Fawr which had me so distracted I tripped over and sustained a knee injury which ended up putting me out of action for 10 months.
Perfectly summed up in the overview, this is a good all rounder something for everyone. For a variation on the theme we extended the route to include the Devil's Kitchen on a couple of occasions.
Did the route on a sunny and unseasonably warm day in April, and was treated to amazing views across the whole of Snowdonia. On the way back to the car we stopped to have a swim in Llyn Bochlwyd. This was not unseasonably warm, but very, very cold.
