You know, Larry, that we are often considering us, Slavic people to be more soft, poetic souls than other nations. That's probably mostly a prejudice, but to a certain degree also reflecting some values priorities of these nations. We are even (proudly) claiming that some types of humour (for example Balcans humour) is untranslatable and can't even be understood by let's say an American. Or, that only a Polish nation could give such a sensitive musician as Chopin was. And again all these are only prejudices - but seconding your remark :)
