Photos will come soon. I was sure I could add a lot of them tonight, but no. Working on an pre-historic computer for another couple of days as mine was stolen while away. Long story.
It´s for sure the least climbed of the really high peaks in Los Andes. Six ancents plus mine if to believe the summit book on top, which included the second ascent. It seems like I was the first solo, but it´s really hard to find info about that.
John Biggar has put Bonete on fourth place and I have found his list very close to the readings I have had on my GPS, when adjusted. Mercedario had fourth place before, but has been downgraded to 6700m from 6770m. I can't say anything about that peak personally as I didn't climb it, but I met a group who had been there and measured it to a disappointing "lower than 6700m".
John's list is also corresponding very well to the latest SRTM-data.
I have no personal experiences with Huascaran (Sur) or Tres Cruces.
Thrilled to see this page on Sp, I have wanted to climb this peak since I was a boy. always fascinated bt it though I knew next to nothing of it... thanks for adding it to SP!

Untitled CommentI was thinking you might add this one soon. One of the highest in the Andes, but pretty unknown.
