Borah Peak Southwest Ridge July 2014

Just completed the peak. Arrived at the trail head at 3:30pm to find a few folks in the camping spots. To use these camping sites it is $5 per site, payable at the self service pay post. Start up the trail at 4:00 pm. Fortunately the temps were 75-80 degrees so not to hot on the steep approach. A bit of soft snow in the notch above Chicken Out Ridge that was easy to cross. Topped out on the summit at 7:00pm. My GPS indicated the distance at 4 miles (see attached track log). A quick descent and back at trail head at 8:45 to watch a nice sunset on the peak.
