This is Brasstown Bald, the highest mountain in Georgia, at 4,784 ft, as seen from the parking lot at the end of GA-180 Spur. I had just finished visiting the top, with it's summit tower and ranger station, and walked around the little museum they have there. However, the best part of the summit is the 360 degree views of the Georgia mountain landscapes. I had climbed the mountain via the Jack's Knob Trail, from Jack's Gap on GA-180 and was about to descend the few miles back to my car there.
