Stunning, I love places like this, so much space, beautifully captured in a photo.
Thank you John. I look at it and remember the crisp air of high places!
Fantastic photo! Very inspiring and has earned it's place on my computer's desktop for the week...
Thanks for the compliment of desktop glory :D. Hope it inspires you for some great trips!
thats an unusual blue! great!
Thanks! It was pretty early in the morning, the mountains were just waking up.
Thanks, the Pickets are a really special place, kind of like the Olympics I guess, which I sadly rarely visited!
This pic really reminds me of the cover of the latest edition of Mountaineering: Freedom of the Hills. You captured the spirit of what drives us all...
coming across this picture after randomly searching the internet for climbing pictures sometime in 2006. i didn't climb back then but thought it might be fun. after seeing this picture my life has never been the same.
thanks for the endless hours of trip reports that have inspired many adventures!
You are welcome! Congratulations for following your dreams. A picture that started it for me was some kind of Microsoft recruitment ad, where a guy is standing by a tent on Sahale Arm, looking to JBurg and other peaks in a cloud sea. Looking back years later, it's amazing how much a good picture can drive you down a certain path.
Wow, I miss Roger's Corner, great climb! Have a great summer :-)
Great work. Thanks for sharing this awesome mountain moment
