I visited the Breithorn-page a few times for planning my trip to Zermatt. I came back a few days ago. The page really helped as a starting point to gather some information. It also gave a nice picture about the mountain because of the photos.
I am very disappointed. I hope you will improve this lousy description that you inherited. Let me know and to give you 4 stars. Examples of what I criticize:
- parking at Täsch is not free
- Gandegg hut is missing
- Kl. Matterhorn is not a refuge
- I expect more than links for huts
- no evaluation of ascents (north face, Triftjigrat
- weather forcast by the German Alpine club?
- the most detailed guides are missing
etc, etc.
Since Breithorn is often the first 4000 peaks for many members, it would desserve an especially thorough description. The author should have climbed it from different sides and at different seasons of the year.
In Zermatt and wanting to run up the Breithorn to help acclimate for Matterhorn on Saturday. I have summited Denali, Rainier, etc., all unguided. My Matterhorn climbing partner is busy with family until then. Anybody free?

Untitled CommentGood page on the most popular mountain around Zermatt and Breuil. Lends it name to Broad Peak next to K2.
