Great shot! Just curious: how steep is the snow on Old Army Pass? I remember eyeing it from a distance during the Spring of 2000 and seeing a hairy looking cornice at the top. A Forest Service told me that a climber once fell to his death while climbing it in the Spring.

At its steepest, I'm guessing it to be about 60-70 degrees, but i could be hallucinating that its steeper than it really is =) There's a small cornice near the top but we steered clear of it.

If i had known someone fell and died, i probably would have thought twice b4 climbing that.
