Nice walk in the woods  Sucess!

Walked about 4 miles RT over 1/2 - 1 foot of snow to get to the top, after needing to park some distance away from a fallen tree across the road (and getting my truck stuck in the process - thankfully got it out after a few minutes). No signage, but previous trip reports guided me. The top isn't much to speak of - a fallen tree branch partially covered it, and there were small glimpses of lower lands to the NE and W. But it's quite a prominent peak, being the highest point for nearly 200 miles around.

Winter Ascent  Sucess!

They sure dont want you to drive up there anymore. The dirt piles blocking the road go on for a long way.

Nice sunny day  Sucess!

Some interesting trees throughout the forest. The summit was completely overgrown with grasses and understory species. Lots of ticks!

Briar Hill Trail  Sucess!

I had some trouble finding this summit without having a good map and directions. A GPS sure would have been nice as nothing is signed.
