Re: Another masterpiece!Thank you so much, Eric. Actually, going to Zion right after a snowstorm wasn't by design. It was the only time of the year both my wife and I have enough time off to travel a little distance. This time it happened to be right after a week of storms. Driving on icy roads wasn't much fun, but being in Zion was.
Cheers, Eric,
Marc

Better than everNice photo-kudos. Do you like Zion and Bridge Mtn. in California as well as when it was located in Utah? Big moving job.

Re: Better than everHahahaha, I took this photo only three weeks ago, in Utah, I must say. So, if someone moved Zion to California, they've done a good job of hiding it!

Re: Better than everMarc, the caption says "Zion National Park, California."
An honest mistake-- myself, I once had the coords for a Zion peak out in the middle of the North Atlantic!

Re: Better than everOh man, I think I should just die. I just came back from doing 1000 steps, I could have just died there.
Thanks, Bob. I am purple in embarrassment.

SlipperyBeen to the top via east side... slippery even when there is no snow. Tried to climb it 1st in a sleet storm -- big mistake.

Re: SlipperyI looked for a "Mountain" page on it, didn't find any. There's one for Bridge Mountain in Nevada. Why not making a page on it with the description of the route that you did do?

Re: SlipperyBridge Zion
It's covered in a few books, and I'm not sure that I want to encourage people to go back up there. It's almost impossible to protect. I'd like to go back up and find a way to protect the critical stretch; what I used was a stump that would take about one fall.

Re: SlipperyThank you for the link. Enjoyed looking at the photos and reading the captions. You're right, a route description could get a lot of people into trouble.
