Overview
Climbing at Brimham
Famous for its balancing rock formations Brimham Rocks is situated in North Yorkshire near the town of Ripon. The gritstone rock offers great friction climbing with off width cracks galore.
The climbing is usually very delicate or brutal or both with great variety for boulderers and trad climbers alike.
The setting also has a fantastic natural theme park feel about it. Kids and adults alike will thoroughly enjoy scrambling amongst and on the natural structures.
There are also a number of intersting walks to suite all throughout the area.
Owned by the National Trust there is free entry for all but there are car parking charges for non members
Getting There
By road Brimham rocks is situated 11 miles north-west of Harrogate off the B6165, 10 miles south-west of Ripon, 4 miles east of Pateley Bridge off the B6265.

Beware of the dog!
The area is open to the public throughout the year.
Camping
There is ample accommodation in Ripon and Harrogate and numerous campsites throughout N Yorkshire.
