Insane Rain (in the membrane)  Sucess!

1 a.m. pull up. Heard dogs barking and getting closer. Was convinced "they" had finally come to kill me.
Part of 2,000 mile solo trip from Ohio grabbing Mississippi and Alabama highpoints as well.

HP #20  Sucess!

Hard to think of this as a HP but it counts. Florida takes pride in their HP (the lowest of the US). A nice park with amenities and clean even in February when we were the only ones there.

HP #30

My 30th HP; climbed on January 1st, 2010. Actually, I had trouble finding Florida's highpoint. Everything is flat in Florida. Florida's highpoint is the lowest of the 50 high points, but still counts. Drove over 1500 miles in 3 days.

#41  Sucess!

Little did I know I would get this into state highpoints.

I was close to a breaking point at work and my wife chased me out the door to get away.

Figured I had only 3 left east of Colorado, so I hit it: AL, MS, FL.

This was the last stop before Pensacola Beach. Took the trail from behind the marker into the woods for a ways. Not bad.

whirlwind trip continues  Sucess!

Another drive up… it was late when I got there, and the moon was big and bright in the sky. A couple sat on their horribly dented car in the parking lot while listening to the radio at a really loud level. Quick run to the "summit" and snapped a picture and then back in the car to make Tallahassee for the night.

very hard...  Sucess!

to take a picture that would make this look like an achievement :). When I went to Panama City Beach to sign up for the ironman, I figured its worth the extra hour or two to get to the high point .
