Heading back to Wisconsin after a fun time down at a cabin at Grayton Beach SP. Had to make the short detour to climb our nations lowest state high point. Thrilling!

Stoped by on drive through FL
It was raining, but I got to the lowest highpoint with no problems! Glad to get that over with.
It's nothing but it's something. Florida definitely gets credit for trying. At least they care, I'm looking at you Mississippi & South Carolina. I saw the "Highest snake in Florida" pulling into the parking lot too.

SHP #32 in 40 months
My daughter Vanessa and I visited Lakeland Park (Britton Hill) in 1988. We started our state highpoint quest in September of 1985, and I completed #49 state high points in June, 2009.

Gotta love it
This is actually near my hometown. You can't even tell you're on an area of elevation. Nice way to spend an afternoon, though - the scenery on the drive is nice.

Another easy one
I stopped here on the way (really several hours out of the way) from DFW to Atlanta. A couple named Britton was leaving as I arrived, but said they were not related to the namesake. HP18

Summit in 2001
Tagged the summit w/ my wife in about 30 seconds from the car. The North Face would be proud. No oxygen needed.

From Pensacola
While on vacation with the family, I convinced my son that there are mountains in Florida. After visiting the high point he was still unconvinced.

High Enough
I had a friend that grew up on the Miccosukee Indian Reservation in "The Glades", he use to say going to this part of Florida "goin to the mountains", its all a matter of perspective. Its nice they thought to make a nice park out of what most consider nothing. I bet a lot of florida residents use oxygen on the climb too.
This one was my first. Thirty Seconds from car to monument! Fastest approach ever

Reached this one in the dark, so I didn't really get to enjoy any scenery. Basically just took a few pictures and then left. Nice way to bring in the new year, with another highpoint.

Highpointing In The Dark!!!
This was the third State Highpoint that I reached in one day. Actually, I reached this one after dark. Good weather, very nice park.
Side-Note: I personally didn't have any problems, but this region of the country is HEAVILY policed. Don't speed.
