Brushy scramble from Hemlock Pass
Have done it several times since. Snoqualmie Pass scrambling at its finest.
Made some 'interesting' route choices tonight... especially for descent. But aside from some pretty bad brush, severe bugs, and a rocky gully route up, the summit was spectacular and well worth at least 1 visit... but maybe not another.
4 hrs car-to-car. Great weather, nobody around.
2.5 hours from car to summit. The scramble was easier than I expected.
Meant to climb Chair Peak, was following my partner who it turns out has a lousy sense of direction. On the summit he was stratching his head saying there should have been one more pitch while I was admiring the handsome looking peak next door (I was looking at Chair Peak). I should go back and do it again.
Led this as a Mountaineers scramble. The very last bit is short but fun. Mid week is a good time to go up here unless you enjoy big crowds.
