Hiked up Peak 967, then back down and over to Burdell, then over to Peak 1011, all listed peaks with over 300 feet of prominence. Afterword made the short drive to the TH for Little Mountain to clean out the area peaks. TR is HERE.
I have a page on Little Mountain if you want to sign the reg.
Not a summit I would expect many signatures.
Out cruising Marin Hills. Trip Report.
San Andreas Trailhead: San Andreas Fire Road to Cobblestone Fire Road to Summit. Judging from several of the entries here and the local nature of many of the folks I ran into on this hill, it's a wonderful local getaway. The top ridge is made interesting by the ancient rock wall that runs most of it's length and by the scarce but rewarding openings in the vegetation that allow glimpses of the world below.
Started at the San Andreas Fire road and did a 5 mile semi-loop.
Michael's 3rd peak bagged. One of the coyotes decided to walk along with us at a very close distance for a while. It was a bit disconcerting. Always love the sweeping views from up here.
Lived in Novato in the early 90's (daughter born at Marin General) and ran the Burdell fire road many, many times. Almost always had the place to myself. Wonderful views of the north Bay Area. Thanks for putting up the page!
A little late response but thank you and Merry Christmas.
Twice - April 2006 and April 2007. A pleasant walk among dairy cows.
