Third definitely worthwhile  Sucess!

One of the best close-up views you'll get. If you look carefully you can often see climbers' tracks up the Inter Glacier and Emmons Glacier

Great Hike  Sucess!

Great hike! Lots of folks on the trail, but compensated by fabulous views of Rainier and some wildlife sightings. Go all the way to Third Burroughs if you have the time.

Did this as a fun evening walk/hike. Quite a few people, but the views are to die for. No snow along the way. Enjoy.

Burroughs  Sucess!

Hiked to Mount Fremont first on a very warm day. Then went to Burroughs Mountain which seemed to be even more crowded.

Dege, Antler, 2 McNeeley peaks, 4 Fremont peaks + the lookout, Skyscraper, 3 Burroughs peaks  Sucess!

Kind of a lame area, but the views are great. East Fremont had a good scramble, albeit a bit loose. Antler and McNeeley were the most junky ones of the day. A total of 12 peaklets.

with the family  Sucess!

steep and icy snow traverseon first bouroughs left the less able of the family behind but my wife son and I made it up that just fine. Coming down we really could have used an ice axe a fall there could be fatal. With an axe or for an experienced and agile mountaineer it is not a super big deal but even for me I would have liked to have an axe especially for the descent. Other than those two early crossings (maybe 100 yards total) everything else was a breeze. Not sure why the rangers couldn't just shovel that out I could do the whole thing by myself in a day. They are lazy let's be honest. For family trips here don't come up through frozen lake there is an alternate route that melts out much earlier and is much safer. Amazing views this is a special place. Lots of mosquitos on this hot summer day.

Left mom on 2nd Burroughs  Sucess!

Well this makes nice for a family outing. One of the few I could take mom on. She was content to stay on 2nd burroughs in the stone armchair with stellar view, while Celine, Phillippe, papa and I took it to the third.

Top dayhike!  Sucess!

First alpine hike of the year, after having ACL reconstruction in the spring. And wow... it was worth the wait! Views like this usually don't come so easy! I only made it to Burroughs 1, but can't wait to go back and go all the way out to 3. Highly recommended!
