A Nice Morning #2  Sucess!

Butterbredt Peak (5997’) is 2.2 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1155’. We arrived at 7:30 AM., and prepared for the hike in the dirt parking area. The weather was clear and nice, and on the way up we enjoyed some class 3 rock climbing. The wind started to pick up when we reached the peak, and it started to get warm. We had, and snack and then headed back down climbing some more rocks on the way. We reached the vehicle at 9:00, and then set out for our next objective which was Mayan Peak.

Pleasant day in the Southern Sierra with Mike and Bob, climbing Chuckwalla/Cross in the morning, then this one in the afternoon. Not a classic climb, but nice views.

Beautiful day, with high, patchy clouds and a cool breeze. Found another funny summit register cartoon.
